Minho, Bora, Kang Min Hyuk, and Other Idols Join Cast of Running Man for Special Episode

An idol squadron has again come to join the cast of “Running Man.”
On May 15, a representative for the show reported that SHINee’s Minho, 2PM’s Chansung, Sistar’s Bora, INFINITE’s Sunggyu and Hoya, CNBlue’s Kang Min Hyuk, and B1A4′s Jinyoung had wrapped up recording a guest episode for the series, which had resumed filming just two days prior.
While filming on Kanghwa Island in Incheon, the seven stars squared off for a competition against the seven members of the “Running Man” team. However despite the fact that the show is based on the idea of competition, the atmosphere while recording was friendly. Jinyoung and Hoya made an unusual effort to do well during their first appearance in the series.
“Running Man’s” production company has previously released several special episodes featuring guest idols, who, for example, attempted to win the title “King of the Idols” or competed in various athletic matches. In last week’s episode, 2NE1 and 2PM (among others) battled in a showdown to defend their labels’ honor.
“Running Man” temporarily suspended filming last month out of respect for the victims of the Sewol ferry disaster. The episodes broadcast on May 4th and 11th were recorded before the incident; new footage taken after the filming resumed is expected to air this month.

The “Monday Couple” of Gary and Song Ji Hyo gave more proof of how close they are on the May 4 episode of “Running Man.”
In the latest episode of the hit SBS ”Good Sunday” show, the cast and guests continued playing the Mafia Game where the members were the “citizens” who had to seek out who among them was designated as the “mafia.”
While huddled and in the process of looking for the three mafia among them, Lee Kwang Soo mentioned that one of the three girls might be the mafia that they’re seeking out.
Gary was quick to suggest that they should start with Song Ji Hyo. In her defense, Song Ji Hyo pointed out that Gary was the one to be doubted because of his actions. “Gary oppacontinuously covers for Lee Sang Hwa. If you think about it, the mafia could be him,” she said.

Yoo Jae Suk Brings “Infinity Challenge” and “Running Man” Members to the Public Memorial of Students Killed in the Sewol Ferry Accident

Yoo Jae Suk isn’t known as Korea’s national MC for no simple reason. It was revealed that the nation’s most popular MC led the members of MBC‘s “Infinity Challenge” and SBS‘ “Running Man” to the public memorial of the Danwon High School students who were killed in the Sewol ferry accident. Although known for his humor, the visit to the memorial was of a somber mood.
Trying to avoid attention, Yoo Jae Suk visited the memorial in the early morning of April 25. Along with the MC, “Infinity Challenge” members Park Myung SooJung Joon HaJung Hyung DonNoh Hong ChulHaha, and “Running Man” members Kim Jong Kook andLee Kwang Soo visited the memorial together, paying their respect to the students who lost their lives. Yoo Jae Suk’s leadership over his members during a time of national mourning was evident through the MC’s actions.
Yoo Jae Suk’s responsibility as a leader had always been present as past actions have reflected his leadership. For example, the MC had presented a group of university students with iPads after the students had volunteered to appear on “Running Man’s” ‘New School Semester Special.’ The special episode, which featured students building a boat and traveling across the Han River, produced gratitude from the MC for the students’ participation, resulting in the special gift.
Thank you MC Yoo Jae Suk for leading a great example as a leader in the Korean entertainment.

Song Ji Hyo Is the Rising Star of Hallyu in China

After charming the audience with her humble personality and skillful acting, actress Song Ji Hyo has become one of the hottest Hallyu stars in Chinese-speaking countries.
It all begun with “Running Man.” Together with Yoo Jae SukKim Jong KookHaha, and other male members, Song Ji Hyo has entertained the viewers through a number of hilarious episodes. The cast members have travelled around Asia to greet their local fans, and the responses have been particularly hot in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Recently, Song Ji Hyo has gained popularity through her role on “Emergency Couple.” The drama has been sold to ten countries so far, proving its overseas appeal, and the download rates in Chinese-speaking countries have been extremely high. The sweet love story drew in viewers episode after episode, not to mention the charm of the independent but lovable character played by Song Ji Hyo.
Director Lee Jae Eun of C-JeS Entertainment commented, “In addition to various events in China, we have received offers to hold fan meetings, which is unusual for an actress. In addition, we have received more inquiries regarding ‘CHO.2′ snapbacks, which Song Ji Hyo helped to design, after the local fans have become aware of them.”
As Chinese Hallyu fans are known for having a soft spot for historical dramas, Song Ji Hyo’s past works such as “Jumong” and “Gyebaek“ are gaining attention as well. As a result, locally produced historical dramas are showing their interest in casting the talented actress, and we can expect her to pursue a career outside of Korea very soon.

Song Ji Hyo and Lee Kwang Soo Help Show the Two Sides of Kim Woo Bin on “Running Man”

Running Man” continued their “Adventures in Australia” special this week with guests Rain and Kim Woo Bin after airing a different special episode last week. The members of “Running Man” continued their missions this week to lead up to the final name-tag race.
Before the final race, however, the members were given a chance to ride in classic hoodless cars. Lee Kwang Soo, Haha, and Kim Woo Bin rode in one car together, and the show’s editor couldn’t help but compare how Kim Woo Bin looked with the wind in his hair compared to Lee Kwang Soo. Kim Woo Bin’s image is captioned, “Handsome pictorial,” while Lee Kwang Soo’s image is captioned, “Comedic pictorial.”
Song Ji Hyo helped Kim Woo Bin show less of a picture-perfect side of him while completing a game that involved pouring water into a glass on top of someone’s head blind-folded. Song Ji Hyo was the one blind-folded pouring water into Kim Woo Bin’s glass over his head. Unfortunately  no matter how hard she tried to keep steady, a little water couldn’t help but fall onto Kim Woo Bin’s head, soaking him wet as he sat nervously.

SBS Denies Officially Signing on a Chinese Version of “Running Man”

SBS corrected reports that said a Chinese version of “Running Man” is going into production by saying the production is still in discussion and nothing has been signed yet.
On March 24, SBS stated, “We want to clear up the announcement of a Chinese version of ‘Running Man,’ which was first reported on March 20. The production of a Chinese version of ‘Running Man’ is only in process of discussion and an official contract has not been signed yet.”
They continued, “The broadcast about ‘Running Man’ made in China was one-sided and without discussion with us. Discussions were not made between SBS and the casting either. This was solely executed by the Chinese broadcasters.”
SBS also stated, “All of the SBS staff members and directors in Korea will work on creating a program in China that matches the quality of the Korean version of ‘Running Man.’ However, it is only at the initial stages of discussion. Nothing has been guaranteed or decided yet”
“The Chinese broadcasters made it seem like the Chinese production of ‘Running Man’ has been confirmed without discussing it with SBS first. This is not true.”
Also, SBS announced that the SBS Weibo account being used in China right now is fake. SBS currently only has official accounts for Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. SBS stated that it will take legal action for this matter.
It has also been revealed tha the Chinese homepage for “SBS World” has nothing to do with SBS. All of the things posted on this website is not authentic information and SBS showed intentions of bringing the site down and taking legal action.
