Joo Sang Wook, Han Ye Seul, Jung Gyu Woon, and More to Appear on “Running Man”

An upcoming episode of SBS’ Running Man” will feature a lineup of guests that seldom make appearances on variety shows, including actorsJoo Sang Wook, Han Ye Seul, Jung Gyu Woon, Wang Ji Hye, andHan Sang Jin.

According to an industry insider on October 15, these actors will be participating in a recording of “Running Man” this coming October 21 after confirming their appearance on the 14th.

The five actors are the lead roles of the new SBS drama titled “Birth of a Beauty,” which is set to begin airing on November 1.

This upcoming broadcast of “Running Man” is especially gaining attention, as it will be Han Ye Seul’s first return to a variety show in about seven years, since December of 2007. Viewers are also anticipating Joo Sang Wook’s variety skills after his last guest appearance on “Running Man” last year.

Han Ye Seul to return to variety shows on “Running Man”

The actress, who will also be making a comeback to dramas in SBS” “Birth of a Beauty“, has been absent from the variety show world for seven years now. According to reports, her appearance was confirmed on October 14, and she”ll be filming for “Running Man” on the 21st. 

The last variety shows Han Ye Seul appeared on are SBS” Yashimanman” in December of 2007 and MBC“s “Knee-Drop Guru“. 

In other news, Han Ye Seul and Joo Sang Wook will be playing the leads in the upcoming drama “Birth of a Beauty”, which is scheduled to premiere in November.

On October 15th, an official broadcaster revealed that the cast of  SBS”s upcoming weekend drama “Birth of a Beauty” includes Han Ye Seul, Joo Sang Wook, Jung Gyu Woon, Wang Ji Hye, Han Sang Jin will participate in the recording of “Running Man” on Octobe 21st.

In particular, this will be Han Ye Seul”s 1st appearance on a variety show since “Knee Drop Guru” in 2007 so many people are very looking forward to it.

The production crew of “Running Man” pulled a hilarious prank on the cast members in the latest episode!

One of the challenges in this episode featured a rickety log bridge over two tall buildings. Although the bridge was guarded by safety nets and trampolines, the cast members were still understandably shaken upon seeing the game, questioning the producers” sanity!

Blindfolded, they were led one by one to the bridge, having to cross it with only their sense of touch. Scared out of their wits, most of them eventually managed to cross – but was treated to an unpleasant surprise when they took off their blindfolds!

The bridge they actually crossed was nothing more than a plank laid across a few inches above the rooftop, with the bridge they saw from the ground nothing more than an elaborate prop to sell the hoax.

SBS “Running Man” officially rejects Hong Kong media’s allegations

After finishing the fan meeting in Hong Kong, “Running Man” cast and their bodyguards were reported to be involved in a conflict with the local media by the Hong Kong media. On the other hand, this source also pointed out that the line-up cast of “Running Man” aroused and scuffled with reporters.

Responding to these allegations, SBS Running Man’s production company, Urban Works Media has claimed that all the Hong Kong media’s information is false. He narrates that after the fan meeting, the paparazzi stuck to “Running Man”’s members like a leech, and the bodyguards just protected them from the overreaction of paparazzi. Moreover, the police of Hong Kong were dispatched, and an investigation was done.
The cast is preparing for the meeting, which will be held on October 1st in Indonesia, and their next destination is Singapore.

“Roommate” and “Running Man” rank last in their respective time slots

KBS 2TV“s “Happy Sunday” ranked at the #1 spot for the night. “1 Night 2 Days” was 1st in its time slot with a 17.1% rating. “Superman is Back” also pulled the segment ratings up with 16.2%, placing 1st in its time slot as well and the entire segment rated at 15.9% in first place.

MBC“s “Sunday Sunday Night” was again in second place. “Real Men” rated at 11.7%, a low second for its slot. “Dad! Where Are You Going?” also fell behind with 7.5%, but it was still good enough for second. The entire segment rated at 9.3%, almost half of the first place “Happy Sunday” ratings.

SBS” “Good Sunday” suffered the worst ratings. “Running Man” rated with 10.1%, which was last in its slot. “Roommate 2” seems to be taking the route of its predecessor, falling to 5.0% and also last in its slot. The segment ranked at a low 7.4% overall.

Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Kwang Soo are both spotted filming Running Man on September 29.

Not only that but the two has attracted attention with their costumes. Yoo Jae Suk has transformed into Superman while Lee Kwang Soo into Avatar and seemed to be doing some mission.
