'Running Man' Gary Is The First Korean Spokesperson For QQ

On April 16, Leessang Company announced an endorsement deal between Gary and the Chinese messanging service, QQ. The "Running Man" star is the first Korean celebrity to represent the brand, which is utilized by more than 800 million users in China.

n the first advertisement for the company, Gary soulfully croons to the camera, while simulating the group video messaging capability of the application. He is singing a birthday invitation to his friends, who are prominent Chinese stars. Gary utilized Chinese throughout the commercial. 

He is the only Korean personality in the ad, which also features popular Chinese celebrities. However, K-pop fans may recognized Zhang Bichen, who was a former member of the group Sunny Days. She reinvigorated her career in 2014 as a contestant on "The Voice of China." Chinese actor Zheng Kai is also depicted in the commercial, along with Jane Zhang.

Leessang Company issued a statement about the endorsement deal, which was published by enews. "It is a great honor that Gary has been chosen as the only Korean model to stand among three Chinese stars," said the representative. 

QQ is one of the most popular messaging applications in China. The company is owned by Tencent, which also operates the successful portal site, QQ.com. 

Gary has demonstrated continued popularity in China, as a member of the hip-hop act LeeSsang and one as a cast member of the popular variety show, "Running Man." Fans of the series have demonstrated continued support for Gary and Song Ji Hyo, who are popularly referred to as the Monday Couple. 

The success of "Running Man" in China has led to an adaptation of the Korean series called, "Hurry Up, Brother." The variety show was also used as the source material for a full-length Chinese feature film, which include Kim Jong Kook.  

Park Seo Joon and Son Hyun Joo to appear on “Running Man”

Actors Park Seo Joon and Son Hyun Joo are busy promoting their upcoming movie, "The Chronicles of Evil." Recently, they sat down for a press conference and now, they"re filming for variety program "Running Man"!

A broadcast rep disclosed to Star News on April 14, "Park Seo Joon and Son Hyun Joo participated in the "Running Man" filming today." The two formed teams with "Running Man" members and took part in an episode with a deductive reasoning concept.

The episode will air in the middle of May, which is also around the time their movie will premiere, so keep an eye out!

Upcoming episode of SBS"s "Running Man" will feature some of the rising female stars in the industry.

According to multiple broadcasters on April 13th, Jessi, AOA"s Choa, Kim Yoo Ri, Jang Do Yeon, Seo Ye Ji are currently filming for "Running Man" somewhere in Seoul.

Many people are looking forward to this episode, especially toward Jessi"s performance on the show.

Lee Kwang Soo dishes on his admiration for Yoo Jae Suk + says he cares more about “Running Man” than dating

Actor and entertainer Lee Kwang Soo set aside the jokes as he opened up about his thoughts on dating and his fellow "Running Man" cast member Yoo Jae Suk.

On April 8, Chinese media outlet Sinjing Bao published an interview it held with Lee Kwang Soo. In the interview, Lee Kwang Soo was reported to have said, "I want to become a person like Yoo Jae Suk." 

Lee Kwang Soo said, "Everyone has their merits, but when I look at Jae Suk hyung I often think to myself, "I want to become that person." All women would feel envious if they saw how Jae Suk hyung treats his wife. For the first time, I thought of wanting to get married because of Jae Suk hyung."
 
When asked about his love life, Lee Kwang Soo replied, "I am a person who doesn"t understand women"s feelings; right now, I"m enjoying my work and I consider my time with my ["Running Man"] hyungs more important."
 
He continued, "I have consciously tried to do things I thought women would like before. Once, during an after-work outing, I pet (Song) Ji Hyo noona"s head, but her expression changed and she hit me. I realized making a conscious effort like that is fruitless to me. It"s best to behave naturally."
 
On spending five years filming "Running Man," Lee Kwang Soo stated, "It"s all thanks to "Running Man" that people know of me and have interest in me. I"ve never thought about wanting to leave "Running Man" even once. The "Running Man" members are like family to me now."
 
Looks like we"ll get to see more of our derpy giraffe on "Running Man" for years to come!

Five mainstream male celebrities on variety shows will make their guest appearances on SBS"s "Running Man".

According to Im Hyung Taek PD on April 6th, Son Ho Joon, Hong Jong Hyun, Noel"s Kang Kyun Sung, Jang Soo Won and Yoo Byung Jae are currently recording for "Running Man".

These celebrities have been earning much attention for their performances on varitey shows. Hong Jong Hyun gained popularity through MBC"s "We Got Married", Son Ho Joon has received much love through "Three Meals a Day", "Law of the Jungle" and "Youth Over Flowers". Jang Soo Won got boosted up in fame thanks to his "robot acting" in dramas while Kang Kyun Sung and Yoo Byung Jae are considered as the "sixth man" on MBC"s "Infinity Challenge".

This episode is scheduled to broadcast in mid-April.

Shin Se Kyung kisses Gary on the cheek during “Running Man” filming

Contrary to actress Shin Se Kyung"s demure and ladylike looks, she showed herself to be quite the competitive, outgoing person during filming for the upcoming episode of "Running Man".

For the episode, three female actresses, including Shin Se Kyung, came on set for the show, and as expected, the male members acted very differently than usual. Song Ji Hyo commented, "The way they"re greeting them seems very different than how they greet me."

However, who stood out was Shin Se Kyung, who had been on the show before, showing her peculiar and easygoing aegyo. She especially made Gary very nervous. The actress was also determined when it came to the games as she did not hesitate to give Gary a kiss on the cheek for a mission, surprising many on set.
