SBS’ “Running Man” reaches 200 episodes + cast thanks participants and fans

With the successful airings of its weekly Sunday episodes, SBS’s “Good Sunday” variety show “Running Man” has now reached their landmark of 200 episodes!

Featuring an overseas trip to Indonesia, world-famous soccer captain Park Jisung, and a chance to join the 2014 Asian Dream Cup, the staff and cast alike made sure to entertain their viewers and celebrate the monumental event.

Once the members ran, competed, and enjoyed all the experiences the episode had to offer, the infamous cast gave a bow of thanks for both the show’s participants as well as their fans, who have spanned from South Korea towards Vietnam, Thailand, Macau, Beijing, the U.S., and more. They also gave a special thanks to guest Park Jisung, speaking, “[Thank you] for being a great strength to us and not changing every year,” dubbing him “Our Family’s Captain Park.”

Additionally, the cast affectionately told the public, “To all the guests and fans that have allowed us to run all the way throughout these 200 episodes, we will continue to sweat and run just like this.”

From the very first episode that aired in July 2010, the show had since then received immense love and popularity, allowing it to grow to its peak. Though actor Song Joongki had left after episode 41 to focus more on his acting career, and After School’s Lizzy has yet to appear since episode 25 from scheduling conflicts, the remaining seven members worked hard for nearly two years, strengthening their relationships as well as their endurance.

Now, their special nicknames, love-lines, competitive streaks, specially dubbed trios, etc. are anticipated even more for their next set of episodes to come. Fans also eagerly hope for “Running Man” to pass by its 300th episode, as well as the desired coupling of Kang Gary and Song Jihyo.
